PEANUT BUTTER!! Many thanks to all of those who brought a 16 oz. jar of peanut butter to donate to Ms. Jenny's worthy cause: School Fuel San Marcos!  According to their website, School Fuel is currently serving 557 students who have a high-risk of little or no food at home. On average it is about $215 per student for the whole school year. Each sack consists of 2 meals and 4 snacks for each day of the weekend.

School Fuel is solely operated by and accomplished with volunteers. Using volunteers keeps the operation costs low, which maximizes the number of children we are able to feed.

If you ever have any free time and would like to volunteer, please get with our Horizon table Mentor Mom,  Ms. Jenny, or use the contact information below:

Our fellow MOPS member, Sara, also shared with us that her 15 month old nephew, Emmett, has recently been diagnosed with leukemia. Her sister and brother-in-law will have to live with Emmett at Texas Children's Hospital in Houston for 4 months while he undergoes chemo therapy treatments. Even during the holidays. None of their parking fees or food expenses will be covered during this duration. Sara has designed super hero type t-shirts to help raise money for her family. Shirts are on a pre-order basis, and she must have 12 shirts in order to make 1 order. They are $20.00 each, and she can send you a Pay Pal invoice. Sara will also have Emmett bracelets for sale during January's meeting for $1.00 each! Please bring $1.00 if you'd like to have one and help out Sara's family in their time of need.

To put in an order for a t-shirt, you can email Sara Rocha at saralynnj@yahoo.com
For more information, check out their Facebook page at "Team Emmett"

Please keep baby Emmett specifically in your prayers these next several months.

We hope you each have a very blessed and magical Christmas with your loved ones. Happy New Year to all you awesome mommas as well!!!

We'll see y'all again TUESDAY, JANUARY 3rd!!!
