January 2017 Meeting Re-Cap
Happy 2017, everyone!!! MOPS-San Marcos is excited about all the new and exciting things in store this semester. Remember, we are ALWAYS wanting to grow our MOPS family, so if you know of any mommas who would love our group, they are invited to attend year-round!
We got our meeting started off with a MOPS-provided dinner catered by CHIPOTLE-San Marcos!! YUM YUM!! Please keep Chipotle in mind on a daily basis and also if your place of work, organization, school, church, etc. ever need any catering! Chipotle now has TWO locations in San Marcos:

We were also treated to an intimate discussion with local doula, Ruth Wills. She covered doulas, at-home deliveries, and sensitive subjects such as postpartum depression and anxiety as a stressed-out mom. She did an EXCELLENT job of referring to God and biblical passages and how we must turn to the word in our darkest times. Ruth informed us that Postpartum Depression is officially diagnosed in 20% of mothers. It is very common, and she encouraged us to not feel ashamed if we think we have ever had it or might have it in the future.
