March 2017 Meeting Re-Cap
How is it March already?!?
We enjoyed a DELICIOUS, HOMEMADE meal from Rebekah's group! Pasta, Spaghetti, Italian bread, salad, broccoli, and CHOCOLATE CAKE and yummy desserts! Thanks ladies!!!
We were so lucky to first hear from the wonderful, inspiring Celeste and other representatives of "YoungLives" a spinoff from the nationally famous teen outreach program, YoungLife. YoungLives' website states that:
"More than 20 years ago, Young Life answered God’s call to run headfirst into the chaos of teenage motherhood with the hope of Jesus ... and YoungLives was born.
YoungLives has never wavered from the original vision to reach teen moms by entering their world, modeling the unconditional love of Christ, and encouraging them to become the women and mothers God created them to be. Through Young Life’s time-tested methods and life-on-life mentoring, teen moms are empowered to make positive choices, set and achieve goals, and live a future rooted in Christ."

Next, we helped assemble little snack goody bags for School Fuel San Marcos' 5K and Kids Fun Run which is coming up on Saturday, March 25th!! All proceeds benefit School Fuel San Marcos--a local organization that feeds numerous less fortunate SMCISD kiddos on the weekends and school breaks! MOPS is getting a team together to walk/ run as a group. Check out the Facebook group or let Monica or Ms. Jenny know if you are interested!
Next, we worked on a super-fun craft!! We are all so creative! All you need is wood, paint or stain, nails, a hammer, string, and a vinyl cutting machine is optional to get your design (right, talented Alli?!?)
