December 2016 Meeting Re-Cap

WOW! What a great meeting! Tuesday's meeting began with a DELICIOUS soup dinner provided by our amazing Mentor Moms!!! Huge thanks to Leslie, Jan, Jan, Jenny, and Jade!! There was vegetable beef, chicken taco, and broccoli and cheese soups to choose from along with all the fixins! And then some AMAZING desserts including mini pecan pies and some kind of heavenly fudge chocolate-y pecan-y goodness! We are so blessed with these awesome women! Thank you for being so gracious to us with your time and your delicious home-cookin'. IMPORTANT DATES TO REMEMBER: Friday, Decmber 9th: PARENTS' NIGHT OUT! 6:15pm at FBC-San Marcos Tuesday December 13th @ 6:15pm : Girls' Night Out at Thea Dake's House --get with Monica Followell for more information! Christmas Eve: Saturday, Dec. 24th @ 4:30pm as well as 6:00pm: Carols, Candles, and Communion at FBC-San Marcos: ALL OF YOU ARE INVITED!! We are so excited for some momma time on Tuesday, December 6th at 6:15pm at FBC-San Marcos!! Feel free to bring any momma friend as your guest to introduce to MOPS!! We love to meet new mommas!!! Our LOVELY, LOVELY Mentor Moms will be graciously providing dinner for us that night, and we will be making a cool CRAFT and just having good 'ol fashioned girl time! *****Please bring 1 of your favorite things not to exceed $5.00 wrapped to use for our "Favorite Things" Christmas gift exchange! This can be ANYTHING from your favorite candy, to coffee gift card, to a fave beauty product, kitchen tool, home decor, craft item, etc! We will be playing a super-fun game! *****Also, please bring an 18 oz. jar of PEANUT BUTTER to donate to SCHOOL FUEL San Marcos!!  Any kind of peanut butter is appreciated--any brand, crunchy, smooth, organic, etc.! Our speaker, Lore Cottone was AMAZING. The First Baptist Church's Fall Festival and Trunk-or-Treat was a HUGE success!! Thanks to all the MOPS who attended as well as those who helped out at our Candy Land themed trunk!! We had a HUGE turnout of community members and lots of happy kiddos!!

September 2016 Meeting Re-Cap

Our very first meeting was a HUGE success!! Lots of new faces to MOPS-San Marcos, and we were SO happy to see each one of you!! We welcome you with open arms, and we look forward to getting "Starry-Eyed" with each of you this year!! Our new Discussion Group Tables are named: Starlight, Daybreak, Daylight, Horizon, & Sunset! Each MOPS Momma went home with a full belly, a newletter, a magnet with meeting dates as well as 2 sparklers!! "Sparkle On", Mommas!  The meeting started off with an EXCEPTIONAL catered dinner by Newk's Eatery-San Marcos as well as Chick-Fil-A San Marcos! These dinners were AMAZING!! Please support these local businesses whenever you can, and mention that MOPS sent ya! Our entire MOPS and MOPPETS dinner was donated by the NEW Newk’s Eatery- San Marcos & Chick-Fil-A San Marcos! How do I become an official MOPS member for 2016-2017?

You can register and pay today! Just click on the PayPal link over to the right of this blog post (just scroll down). Use the drop-down box to select which option you would like to pay. You can also REGISTER on the link below that, so we know who you are sista -friend! Please read below for more information.  You can also register and pay at our first MOPS meeting in person on Tuesday, September 13th! We'll see you there! MOPS/MOMSnext dues are essentially made up of 2 parts: International dues and Local meeting dues. Annual international dues = $24.95 This is due upfront at registration. International membership comes with an annual subscription to “Hello, dearest” Magazine, a membership kit with lots of goodies, exclusive deals, and weekly emails to fill you with inspiration. McCarty Lane 6:15pm-8:30pm  Please come join us at our very first meeting of the year on Tuesday, Sept. 13th as we enjoy our wonderful guest speaker, Kristie Christie! We are SO excited to host her all the way from California and to hear her speak on "When your Barbie Dreamhouse has an Earthquake!" We will provide dinner, and we are located in the youth room upstairs. Childcare will also be provided downstairs (called MOPPETS) during the meeting with several experienced (background checked) childcare providers-- dinner provided to them also!
